Ezip trailz lithium battery5/6/2023 20mph is a casual ~60 pedal rpm and can push near 30 with a tailwind or slight downgrade. Pedal speed came up a bit shy since motor alone was ~22mph with good assist till ~25mph, so I hunted and found the Long-Yih and Epoch DNP 7 speed freewheels with the 11T sprocket. Later I began building 25.9V 26Ah Laptop LiPo batteries in the oem packs. OEM controller would not support 37V so I built my 1st 7s12p 25.9V 31.2Ah recycled laptop cell battery, in the oem pack. Replaced 20T wheel freewheel with 16T ACS Southpaw and pushed motor speed from 16mph to 20mph. 2008 eZip Trailz 8000+ miles - smooth street tires (My pedal bike) Shoehorned 33.3V 31.1Ah LiCo laptop cells into oem battery pack!!! I swap the front tire, dependent on weather! (to save from excessive stud wear) so I started recycling laptop cells into 37V 20.8Ah packs.īuilt studded tires for front and eventually got a used carbide studded for rear. Placed 36V 10Ah SLA in toolbox and bolted to rack. Immediately replaced 24V controller with 36V from eZip scooter. 2008 eZip Mountain Trailz - 4000+ miles Snow Beast Suffered broken spokes and received a warranty replacement wheel, never used on that bike, kept replacing spokes till got bored so, when controller died I switched to 2nd 2008 Mountain Trailz. Then tried 20s1p D cell 6Ah NiCd, then 20s2p, then swapped to 36V SLA. #s 1, 5 and 7 in need of some degree of repair #s 2, 3, 4 and 6 in good running condition Neighbor gave up on his 2010 Trailz so I gave him $73 for it! 2013 Trailz LS got listed (accidentally?) at $308. Neighbor got his eZip Trailz run over by car, front wheel and fork damage, got new 2010 eZip Trailz so I gave him $50 for another 2008 Trailz.Ħ. Too cheap to pass up! - ~$225 deliveredĥ. Couple years later there was a "new, minus battery", 2009 eZip Trailz LS. about $125 after I sold the battery & chargerĤ. About Christmas time there was an absolute bargain on a 2008 eZip Trailz. Caught a 2nd on sale a couple months later. <$300 delivered (don't remember exactly. Got my 1st eZip Mountain Trailz back in 2008.
